Sumoto Castle Ruins (Mt. Mikuma) is the historical center of Awaji Island and has been selected as a designated national historic site. Located on Mt. Mikuma, 133 meters above sea level, the castle tower commands a panoramic view of the Kitan Straits and the urban areas of Osaka and Sakai.

If you make a reservation one week in advance, a volunteer guide will give you a detailed tour of the area.

Sumoto Castle Ruins (Mt. Mikuma) is a beautiful sightseeing spot where history and nature coexist, and is recommended for those interested in history.
